Yahmaha brought about 10 of their ATV Grizzly Utility vehicles to the event and I was lucky enough to be able to jump on the Yamaha Grizzly 700.
The course was about half a mile of ups and downs which was a lot of fun.
They provided the boots, shirts, gloves, helmet and goggles to protect you against all the dust.
Since it wasn't too busy I managed to go around twice with Van May, ATV/SxS Product Trainer.
I've primarily ridden motorcycles and skidoos but with that experience I was able to quickly adapt and have a lot of fun on these ATV utility vehicles. I could see myself getting one if I had any need for one.

IMO The problem with Quads (and there is one) is 1.) they're not as fast as a bike and 2.) it's hard to bail-off 'em when things go south. If you flip one on a hill it tends toss you underneaty it, then chase you down and beat you up but good, landing on you - I've seen it in countless videos and in real life - whereas on a dirtbike you can toss it away and go to other countermeasures - but I'm a dirtbike snob.
