Just in the "Waiting For Review" state before it gets released.

I've updated the data in my "Gun Spot" iPhone app to include the latest greatest data from the ATF up to and including December, 2012.

It's also compatible with iOS5, I'll make it even more compatibler moving forward.

Handy FFL Finder Search Tool via Gun eTools

Here is a handy FFL finder search tool that allows you to find any FFL holder in the country.

Just type in your ZIP code and it will locate a FFL holder within a 20 mile radius.

You can then visualize the search results using the "View Map" link.

This tool can be embedded into any blog that wants to provide this kind of features to their readers.

Just cut and paste the code in the text boxes into your blog to get the FFL search feature. You can change the zip, city/state to your location.

Gun eTools Launches New Beta Web Site

I finally got to launching Gun eTools Beta web site.

You can look up any FFL dealer right now and soon any range too!

Do an FFL eZCheck, check out the store's web site and look up their address on Google maps with just a click of the mouse.

Coming soon registered users will be able to leave reviews and ratings,add photos, add information related to their favorite gun store or range, add tags, add a gun store to your favorites and much much more.

All this information will be instantly available to all the "Gun Spot" and "Range Spot" iPhone app users across the nation! This means it will be easier to find and learn about all the gun stores near you instantly by reading what others have already experienced.

Remember, this site is now in "Beta" which means things will change and data can potentially come and go.

"Gun Spot" is doing pretty well as it is popular with travelers and buyers/sellers of firearms around the country who need to share FFL transfer agent info with each other.

I'm happy that I can provide a tool to help out fellow gun enthusiasts!

GunSpot iPhone app now waiting for approval.

GunSpot has been submitted to the Apple iPhone Apps Store and is now waiting for approval.

Some cool new features have been added and much testing has been done to make this first release robust yet feature rich to offer a lot of utility for every gun enthusiast.

A nifty feature is a way to instantly check the validity of a FFL holder via the ATF's FFF eZ Check web site.


If you are transferring a firearm and either dealer that you are doing a transfer through needs to know that the other dealer's FFL number is valid now you can give them the eZ Check FFL number and they can plug that into the ATF's FFL check web site for quick confirmation.

GunSpot also does this automatically so you can check ahead of time to validate a FFL dealear's license number.
