Today we did a lot of great training. We practiced shooting from retention and shooting from retention after a defensive strike. That was particularly eye opening in that the firearm is up close and personal. This was an advanced technique and everyone had to feel pretty comfortable with their skills.
We shot support side and strong side while practicing defending a spouse/significant other by sweeping them aside, stepping in front and engaging off hand.
The students all had a great time and learned a lot!
